Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Billing Manager with 8-10 years of experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will oversee the billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and will play a crucial role in maintaining financial stability and operational efficiency within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Billing Operations:
- Manage and oversee the entire billing process for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Prepare and review invoices, ensuring timely submission to clients.
- Track project costs and ensure they align with budget forecasts.
Financial Reporting:
- Generate and analyse billing reports for management review.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all billing transactions.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve any issues.
Client Relations:
Communicate effectively with clients regarding billing inquiries and payment statuses.
Address and resolve client billing issues promptly.
Foster strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor the billing team, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct regular training sessions to keep the team updated on industry best practices and software tools.
- Evaluate team performance and implement improvement plans as necessary.
Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
- Implement and enforce internal controls to prevent errors and fraud.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in billing operations.
- Work with other departments to streamline workflows and improve communication.
Experience:
- 8-10 years of experience in billing, finance, or accounting, with at least 5 years in the construction industry.c
- Proven experience in managing a billing team and overseeing complex billing operations.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of construction billing practices, including AIA billing, lien waivers, and progress billings.
- Proficiency in billing and accounting software,
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
