Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Civil Project Manager with a minimum of 12 years in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet design specifications, budget, and timelines. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication to coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate and oversee all stages of project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and design to construction and project close-out.
- Ensure all project activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Lead and manage project teams, including engineers, architects, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, ensuring clear communication and efficient workflow among team members.
- Conduct regular team meetings to monitor progress, address issues, and update project stakeholders.
Budget and Cost Control:
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Monitor expenditures and financial performance, providing regular financial reports and forecasts.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality and safety.
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Ensure projects adhere to engineering standards, quality specifications, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to verify compliance with project requirements and identify potential issues.
- Implement corrective actions promptly to address any deviations from project plans.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Provide regular updates and reports to clients and other stakeholders, addressing concerns and queries promptly.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination with regulatory bodies and local authorities.
Risk Management and Problem Solving:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
- Resolve conflicts and issues that arise during the project lifecycle, employing effective problem-solving techniques.
- Adapt project plans and schedules as necessary to address unforeseen challenges and changes in project scope.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, permits, and correspondence.
- Prepare and present detailed project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of all project-related documentation.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in civil engineering and construction project management.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Proven experience managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and other relevant tools.
