We are looking for a Risk Management Specialist with extensive experience in the HFT domain. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing risk in HFT firms and reporting directly to top management. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage teams effectively and ensure proactive risk mitigation strategies.
KRA:
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management strategies tailored to HFT operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Monitor trading activities and market conditions to identify and assess potential risks, making timely recommendations to mitigate exposure.
- Provide regular reports and updates on risk metrics and performance to senior management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with trading teams, quantitative analysts, and technology teams to enhance risk monitoring tools and methodologies.
- Lead and mentor a team of risk management professionals, fostering a culture of responsibility and ownership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in risk management within high-frequency trading or algorithmic trading firms.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing risk frameworks, with a strong understanding of market risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk.
- Previous employment at reputable HFT trading companies such as Citadel, NK Securities, Emkay Securities, Jump Securities, Esstee, or Graviton is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing teams and driving initiatives forward.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in risk management tools and methodologies.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts, either code at his end or get the coding done for the risk mitigation models.
